Oh! giant tree,
You're always free.
You're so tall,
And prettier than all.
You're very useful,
For building houses beautiful.
You're the need of a nation,
From generation to generation.
You're the wealth of nation,
Needed to prevent erosion.

From time to time and year to year.

Trivia: I wrote this poem on 16 October 1993 (7th std) at an inter-branch writing competition held between the three branches of New Way School, Lucknow and won the 2nd prize.

hey sachin, very cute poem,it reminded me of the competitions during my school days, your poem shows ur concern towards nature as a young boy, the tone of the poem is very innocent n i liked it..
