The busted bus service of Bangalore

When it comes to travelling by buses in Bangalore, it is a nightmare
for me.. It is a very hopeless means of transport.. absolute lack of time sense..
take their own sweet time, packed to 10 times their overload capacity and the crowd.. wow.. labourers just rush in with all those harpoons and hammers as coolly
as though they are walking with soft toys.. not to forget all the denim and musk that naturally oozes out from their once in a bluemoon bathed bodies.. hufff....

And i was once fined by this authority.. the first ever fine in my life, 2.5 yrs ago and i have still preserved the receipt as though its some bravery certificate :).
Those were my initial days in Bangalore..infact this happened on the second or third day..we were undergoing induction training in our company.. i used to reside just 3 kms from office and auto rickshaw drivers, another scum in Bangalore, seldom oblige for such short distances. I was getting late and could not find any auto. So got into this bus, as usual packed. I got inside the bus from the back door. Took Rs.3 (tickets were cheaper then) change in my hand and waited for the conductor who was near the front door. By the time my turn came, the next stop also came and the TC got inside. I had to get down at IE stop but they didn't let me get down and took all the way to Shivajinagar, the last stop. I tried to explain to them but invain. They just had to meet their targets. However I did get Rs.10 discount. Lucky me and generous them. I paid Rs.50. Then took one more auto and came down to office from there.

These are some of my experiences in these buses. My friends have still better experiences plying in these buses. Most part of my bus life was spent in DK district of Karnataka state which runs one of the best bus transport in the world and I am finding it very difficult to accept this sudden paradigm shift.
